Masthead’s AI Marketing Innovation Summit

Virtual Networking Sessions

AI is changing marketing fast, and some of the best insights come from talking it through with peers.

In an effort to foster meaningful, peer-to-peer conversations around AI in marketing, we’re hosting virtual networking sessions designed for connection, not noise. Each session features small breakout rooms of six or fewer participants, topic-focused discussions, and guided prompts to help spark thoughtful, practical dialogue.

Networking Session #1

AI in Action: What’s Actually Working

Wednesday, March 11 at 3:30 pm ET

AI experimentation is one thing. Making it work in real workflows is another. At this networking session, attendees will be asked to share how they’re using AI across teams (or individually), what’s driving results, and where experimentation has turned into lasting workflow changes.

This will also be a time dedicated to addressing the very real challenge of AI fatigue, and how to stay informed, focused, and strategic in a constantly evolving landscape.

Questions to Prompt Conversation:

  • What AI use cases are genuinely improving your work today?

  • How are you getting reliable information about new tools and trends?

  • Are you using AI primarily for speed, strategy — or both?

  • Where has AI fallen short of expectations?

  • Did any of the use cases at How Content Marketers Are Actually Using AI resonate with you?

Networking Session #2

Marketing Metrics in an AI-First World

Thursday, March 19 at 1:30 pm ET

As traditional traffic patterns and customer search behavior shifts and AI-generated answers reshape visibility, marketing teams must rethink what success looks like.

In this networking session, attendees will be able to discuss how they are measuring performance in an AI-driven landscape, including how KPIs and reporting strategies have adapted to AI visibility, AEO/GEO, and the growing influence of LLM-generated responses.

Questions to Prompt Conversation:

  • How are you measuring success as search and visibility evolve?

  • How is AEO/GEO influencing your content or reporting strategy?

  • What tools are you using, and how have they changed in recent years?

  • Has leadership leaned into AI changes or hesitated? How have those conversations unfolded?

  • What insights stood out to you from Stop Trusting AI Visibility Scores, and how do they align with your current approach?

Networking Session #3

The Rise of the “AI Strategist”

Monday, March 23 at 3:00 pm ET

Is “AI Strategist” a legitimate new role, a rebranded marketing function, or simply the latest industry buzzword? As AI becomes embedded in everyday workflows, many organizations are debating whether this expertise should live within existing teams or sit with a dedicated specialist.

In this networking session, attendees will discuss how their organizations are approaching AI ownership. Are companies hiring for AI strategist roles internally or externally? Are freelancers repositioning themselves around AI expertise? And as more professionals adopt the title, what actually differentiates meaningful experience from surface-level fluency?

Questions to Prompt Conversation:

  • Is AI strategy becoming its own role, or part of every role in your organization?

  • What risks come with everyone labeling themselves an “AI expert”?

  • What AI skills genuinely make sense for all marketers to develop?

  • What feels hype-driven versus durable when it comes to skill-building?

  • How are you actively building your AI skillset right now? (e.g., conferences,, industry research, hands-on experimentation)
